the basic rules for playing several matches in tournament
Hi,
here are the basic rules of eating and drinking for better match performance:
1. eat food at least more than 2 hours before the match play;
2. very very low protein, so no meat, egg, fish etc. food which is rich of protein;
and eat rice, bread etc. food with high carbonhydrate .
potato, banana are the fastest providing energy food,
so you can eat banana during the match as a lot of professional players do.
3. should have sports drink which has enough Na, K etc. since the body not just lose water
but also Na, K, Mg, etc. from the sweat and urine, so if you just drink water without enough Na, K, the body won't be able to keep the water you drink , your body will remove the water by making more urine in order to keep the balance between water and Na, K etc.
you can drink pure water and at the same time eat salted food or vegetable (咸菜) to get enough Na,K etc( my favorite way).
4. if the weather is hot and you have a lot of sweat , make sure eat enough salted food or vegetable for the meal after the match in order for the body to keep the water you drink.
5. if you feel thirst , it's already too late, so keep drinking during the match when you switch court just as all the professional players do.
