I think it is possible. If $ 9000 includes tax, then you need to work out the budget without tax (if you buy from private sales, you only have to pay GST, I think this model year is no longer in the book of SAAQ - the GST is based on the sales amount - you need to tell SAAQ how much you have paid - no written contract is required.)
But if you are buying from a dealer, then you will have to pay two taxes.

You can also cross check CAA webiste link about used car prices - but it is in U.S. dollars since the link is from the U.S. - another useful resources to check out market prices is go here - this is in Canadian dollars but this is from a wholesaler dealer. At least you will know the max you should pay for your car. |
